Interview with Sam on PlayStation

Interaction with audience

In these days it is key for people in marketing to be able to communicate with its audience. Years ago people would write into PlayStation magazines in order to have a response. However now it only takes a quick google to discover the countless ways that now you can use to communicate with PlayStation. Whether it’s technical support or just the fact that you can direct message PlayStation on Twitter to receive a PlayStation. I have done both, I have written into magazines only not to receive a response and be waiting weeks to only receive nothing. Where now i can load up an app on my phone and text the PlayStation support team. This normally comes back in an hour. This means that the PlayStation team that is communicating with the customers have to both come up with a certain way of communicating with customers. Even on apps such as Twitter the posts that the admins post are all open for communication and people regularly comment. The most important thing is that the admins will c...

Advertising through word of mouth

I wanted to write a quick word on a very special version of advertising. It is one of the only free advertising technique worth millions. Whether students at school talking about the new PlayStation game releasing or people getting more and more excited talking about the new PlayStation console that is going to release. The effectiveness of the word of mouth is not be laughed at. How many times can you recall a work friend talking about a new PlayStation game that they are really excited for. You probably can’t remember exactly when or what it is. However I can guarantee at least one time you have gone home and has at least looked at that game your i was talking about. I would say the most effective part of this is the branching of the talking. If someone tells me about a new PlayStation game releasing and I really like it, I will then spread that advert to the other people that I know. Although saying all of this I very much doubt PlayStation would ever straight up come out and s...

PlayStations support of fighting games.

Image
If you take a look at the PlayStation YouTube, you are bound to spot a couple of videos that seem to be much longer then the rest. These are pro fighting game tournaments that are played on the PlayStation consoles. Such as the PlayStation 4 and 5. I will be linking these videos below. You can clearly see in all of the videos that they share some similarities. Now it isn’t just mortal Kombat. There are quite a few of these streams. But the one similarity is the fact that the PlayStation logo is always visible (apart from during gameplay). This clearly represents the fact that these games are being played on the PlayStation console. Further boosting the amount of coverage the brand is receiving.  These links are the links to the YouTube videos that I have used for my examples. https://youtu.be/MJNh5SmL23I https://youtu.be/FcjC1WPFHYQ https://youtu.be/4GOF8A2NUTA https://youtu.be/CBlsnaVVMW4
